Control systems

The control systems of the NPP combines centrelized control, remote control of the main technological processes and automatic control, which conducted from the main control room (MCR).

All main processes of equipment performance including the startup are automated. The information on the power unit states is transferred from the computer center to the main control room displays in the form of the main parameters and optimizating recommendations for changing the operation condition.

The process of reactor power control or termination of the chain reaction is conducted by the elements of control and protection system (CPS), by way of removal or insertion of neutrons absorbers into the reactor core.

In case of failure of the MCR provides a standby control panel from which you can control emergency load shedding and unit scram.
